In metro Atlanta, there are a number of events and activities going on that should keep everyone entertained, so it's easy to start filling up the 2010 winter vacation schedule:

Perfect for the smaller children in your life, “Disney Live! Presents Mickey’s Magic Show” comes to Philips Arena:

Stars in your eyes at Fernbank Science Center


Fernbank Science Center has a couple of holiday-related programs going on:

  • Through Dec. 28: “Tis the Season.” Tour winter constellations and holiday traditions. Thursday and Friday through Dec. 18, 8 pm; Friday and Saturday through Dec. 18, 3 pm; Dec. 20. 21, 27, 28, 3 pm
  • Through Dec. 18: “Holiday Hunt.” Look for Santa and hear star stories from around the world. Call Fernbank at 678-874-7102 for times.

Planetarium admission is adults $4; students $3; seniors $3.
