Winston-Salem foster mother arrested for having sex with foster child

Winson-Salem foster mother, Jasmine Smith Boyd, 38, of 3900 Thornaby Circle, has been arrested and charged with 6 counts of Sex Offense-Parental Role, a class E Felony.

Winston-Salem detectives began their investigation of Boyd November 11, 2011, after receiving a tip about an alleged inappropriate relationship between Boyd and a teenaged foster child, who was living in her home. 

Boyd was arrested for sexually abusing her foster child after a police interview on Friday.

She is scheduled to appear in Forsyth District court January 6, 2012.

Bond has been set at $150,000.
