Winnipeg -- A high-risk sex offender was released Monday, with police warning the public that Fabian Claybren Maytwayashing, 36, is highly "likely" to reoffend.

The Manitoba Integrated High Risk Sex Offender Unit is warning the public and is asking the public to take proper precautions to protect themselves.

Females of ALL ages are at risk of sexual violence.

In 2001, he was sentenced to 5 years in prison for numerous offenses including sexual assault with a weapon. He held a knife to the throat of a 14 year old girl while he raped her.

He uses social networks and his computer to 'lure' in young girls.
