Winners of one of the"Artist of the Year" award, five time grammy winner, Lady Antebellum took the stage and proved why the group deserves their award. Tuesday night, families across the nation cozied up by the fire, watching the "2011 CMT Artists of the Year Award" show, seen on CMT. There are five recipients of this highly coveted award.
During the show, highlights of the past year were given showing clearly that Lady Antebellum earned their award hands down. Their performance of "Dancing Away With My Heart" was easy to listen to, with the harmonies rolling pleasantly around the room. One guitar was used for accompaniment, the rest was lyrical. The group mentioned two highlights of the year. The first mentioned the"biggest thrill" of singing at the national anniversary of 9/11. Then the group talked about singing the national anthem before an NFL game. Lady Antebellum's appearence on Saturday Night Live was a key moment in the year past, as the group said,
"It was the biggest possible dream that could come true."
