Noemi Perez, 23, of New York, purchased a Powerball ticket for a chance to win $2M on April 14, 2012! Perez is the fifth Florida player to match 5-of-5 numbers on a Powerball with Play ticket. She purchased the ticket from Kikiriki Supermarket, located at 1177 W. 35th St. in Hialeah. Kikiriki Supermarket received a $5,000 bonus commission.
According to lottery officials, Florida has the strongest Powerball with Power Play sales of any US lottery, exceeding more than $1 billion. Florida has had the most winners in the nation, winning more that $570 in prizes, since Powerball launched in January 2009.
The next Powerball drawing will be held on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at 10:59 p.m. for the chance to win $40M.
