Last night the 70th Annual Golden Globe Awards were held for all to see. The show was hosted by the comedy pair of Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, who by everyone except maybe Tommy Lee Jones’ standard, proved to be enjoyable host. The pair of female host can be seen to have stolen the show as they brought the quips and poked jokes leading to the highest Golden Globe ratings since the 2007 show.
Some of the best lines of the night:
-“When it comes to torture, I trust the lady who spent three years married to James Cameron” –The line from Poehler referring to Kathryn Bigelow, director of Zero Dark Thirty.
-“when you run afoul of the Hollywood Foreign Press, they make you host the show two more times.” –Part of Poehler’s opening statement in which she poked a Ricky Gervais, stated there would only be good-natured jokes during the show.
