The Fragrance Foundation is a non-profit organization with a mission to inspire innovation, education, and appreciation of fragrance in its many forms. They recently announced the 2014 winners of their annual awards (Yup, even fragrances receive awards these days.) The event, which used to be called the FiFi Awards, is the equivalent to the Oscars in the fragrance industry. Winners are selected by experts of the industry and the foundation members, expect for the Consumer Choice Award which was added last year. The Huffington Post reported that this year a Celebrity subcategory was added, all thanks to Justin Bieber (Shocker.) Last year his fragrance Girlfriend won the 2013 Women's Consumer Choice Award because his team took to the all and powerful Twitter to encourage fans to vote. The subcategory was added to give the non-celebrity brands recognition too.
Actor and comedian Dana Carvey hosted the event that took place at the Lincoln Center in New York City on June 16th. According to The New York Times, it was Carvey's second year as the host "And even he admitted it was a little odd that he was [there.]" Presenters included Marisa Tomei, Angie Harmon, Hilary Rhoda, and Michael C. Hall.
