CUISINE CULTURE with
Top Chefs and Alsace Wines
New York, NY (September 2011) – Aspiring home cooks can add a new food television show to their must-see TV this fall: Cuisine Culture, an exciting series that showcases master chefs from the U.S., Europe and Israel.
Hosted by the dynamic, international chef Ashley James, Executive Chef of the Four Seasons Beverly Hills, CA, the program is a virtual culinary journey to some of the most highly acclaimed kitchens. The 13-part weekly broadcast launches this month in cities across the U.S. and continues through the fall. Each episode begins and concludes with a 15-second spot highlighting the dry and aromatic white wines of Alsace, home to some of the world’s most sought after wines.
In the Alsace episode, Chef James takes viewers to the picturesque town of Colmar and other medieval villages, tastes and learns about Alsace wines in the vineyards, and heads to the renowned Auberge de l’Ill, where he and three-star Michelin chef, Marc Haeberlin, create an inspiring three-course menu: Chef Haeberlin’s signature “Salmon Soufflé,” paired with an Alsace Riesling; the famous chicken specialty, “Poulet de Bresse,” accompanied by an Alsace Pinot Gris; and a peach dessert, “Pêche Haeberlin,” made with a Crémant d’Alsace sabayon and paired with an Alsace Gewurztraminer.
