Wine will be flowing at Sandusky's Toast of Ohio Wine Festival

Wine enthusiasts will be able to enjoy a day of sampling fine Ohio wines, gourmet food, an art show and live musical entertainment in an unique setting when they attend the annual Toast of Ohio Wine Festival being held in Sandusky, Ohio on Saturday, July 26.

Toast of Ohio Wine Festival Hosted by the Merry-Go-Round Museum, the Toast of Ohio Wine Festival will give visitors the opportunity to taste some of the state's best wines from a variety of wineries across Ohio.

Participating wineries include Paper Moon Vineyards, Firelands Winery, Ferrante Winery, Stoney Ridge Winery, Viking Vineyards & Winery, St. Joseph Vineyard, Vermilion Valley Vineyards, Matus Winery, Meier's Wine Cellar, Quarry Hill, Myrddin Winery, D & D Smith Winery, Maize Valley Winery and Chateau Tebeau.

Admission is $5 and it includes a tasting glass and two wine tasting tickets. You must be 21 years of ages to participate in this event. Proceeds from the tickets sales will benefit the Merry-Go-Round Museum.

Visitors will also be able to enjoy strolling through an art show and can listen to some great live musical entertainment.

Food trucks will be offering a wide variety of gourmet foods for purchase.

A Bit About the Merry-Go-Round Museum Opened in 1990 in a former Sandusky Post Office, the Merry-Go-Round Museum offers visitors a chance to ride a 1939 fully restored, historic Allan Herschell carousel with its rare and unusual animals, tour the 2014 exhibit "Ups and Downs" and watch woodcarvers as they create a new horse (or work on restoration) and give an explanation of their craft. The Museum is offering a discount admission until 4 p.m. on July 26.

Hours for the Toast of Ohio Wine Festival are noon - 8 p.m. Parking is free.

The Toast Of Ohio Wine Festival will take place at 301 Jackson St. (Look for the big white tent) near the Merry-Go-Round Museum in Sandusky, Ohio. Sandusky is approximately an hour drive from Cleveland.
