There is so much buzz about the Oscar nominated movies. Honestly, this may be one of the hotly contested nominations in years. Movies like Amour, Argo, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Django Unchained, Les Misérables, Life of Pi, Lincoln, Silver Linings Playbook and Zero Dark Thirty have their fan base yet only one will win. The W Hotels in New York will be offering up a different kind of buzz in the Living Rooms of all four New York City Hotels Oscar night. In honor of film’s biggest night, they will be offering their own nominations for ‘best in cocktail’. Best of all, no matter which one you choose they are all winners.
Honest Abe 'Lincoln'
2 dashes Regans orange bitters
Sugar cube
Splash with soda and muddle into "paste"
1 oz applejack
1 oz rye
Stir, rocks, orange twist
And the Award Goes To....
.5 oz egg white
.5 oz lemon
.75 oz simple syrup
2oz Plymouth gin
Shake and strain over fresh ice in a hi ball glass, top with soda and lemon wedge garnish.

.5 oz lime juice
.5 oz honey syrup
1 oz caliche rum
3 mint leaves muddled
Shake strain into flute and top with champagne.
