One of the Shawangunk Wine Trail's big annual events is on the horizon.

"Pasta Primo Vino," which pretty much tells you the points of emphasis, is scheduled for the weekend of April 12-13.

It's a self-guided tour of 14 member wineries in the Hudson Valley, with each venue offering small samples of four of its wines plus a different pasta dish. You can visit as few or as many as you wish, and start at any point.

The trail is easily accessed via Thruway Exits 16, 17 and 18. You can get a rundown on member wineries here.

Tickets are available online. Tour buses and limos planning to participate can find wine trail policies regarding them here. Additional information on the wine trail can be accessed by calling (845) 256-8456.
