Saltus River Grill in historic downtown Beaufort, SC, announces its Second Annual Wine Dinner to celebrate the Beaufort International Film Festival. The dinner February 7 is $50 per person with $10 benefitting the festival.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. with dinner at 7 p.m. Course 1 is Glazed Turnip Soup, Wilted Turnip Greens, Butter Poached Jumbo Lump Crab with White Truffle Oil paired with Alverdi Pino Grigio. Course 2 is Beet Poached Striped Sea Bass, Farro and Quail Confit Salad with Swiss Chard, Butternut Squash, Pickled Scallions with Chive Oil paired with Panther Creek Pinot Noir.
The third course is Painted Hills Beef Short Rib, Smoked Cauliflower Puree, Melted Leeks, Carmelized Fennel with Golden Raisin Relish paired with Silver Palm Cabernet. Course 4 is "Dinner and a Movie" featuring Dark Chocolate Coca Cola Cake, Salted Caramel and Buttered Popcorn Ice Cream paired with Lunetta Prosecco.
Reservations are required: 843-379-3474. The restaurant is located at 802 Bay Street with a view of Waterfront Park and the Beaufort River. It's open for dinner daily from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. or for sushi and cocktails beginning at 4 p.m.
