Wine, Dine & Music Cruise to feature America, sail to the Bahamas in October

After satisfying a shipload of hungry and thirsty cruisers last year, Flying Dutchmen Travel has announced the return of the Wine, Dine & Music Cruise. This year’s cruise will take place October 25-30 aboard the Norwegian Pearl as she sails from Miami to Great Stirrup Cay and Nassau in the Bahamas with rock group America and celebrity chef John Ash on board.

Sip the wine
Wines from Kendall-Jackson will be spotlighted throughout the five-day cruise and the winery is sending winemakers and sommeliers to answer cruisers’ questions and help with food and wine pairings. Each stateroom will receive a free bottle of premium Kendall-Jackson wine nightly with additional bottles being available for purchase. Wine club memberships will also be on offer.

Try the food
To go with all the delicious wine, gourmet meals will be served. The man behind the menu will be Chef John Ash, renowned personality and teacher from the Napa Culinary Institute. Chef Ash will also be offering his “Marriage of Food and Wine” seminar; the class is 2 ½-hours long, spread over two days and comes at an additional cost of $110.00 per person. Tracey Shepos Cenami will also be on board; she’s the cheese and wine specialist at Jackson Family Wines and cruisers will be able to watch her create unique dishes in a special culinary kitchen that’s been set up just for the cruise (and yes, taste them too.)

Music and a few laughs
'70s hit makers America (“Horse with No Name,” “I Need You,” “Sister Golden Hair”) are the musical stars of the cruise and they’ll be performing nightly. Country star Neal McCoy will perform as will World Classic Rockers, a cover band playing hits by acts like Santana, Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Journey. Arrival from Sweden – The Music of ABBA will be presented, The Voice finalist Chris Mann will perform and pianist/singer Chris Mann will play pop hits. Last Comic Standing finalist Cory Kahaney will be on hand to tickle cruisers’ funny bones with her stand-up act.
