This family friendly event offers games, raffles, local vendors, a silent auction, door prizes and wiener dog races throughout the day. For the adults there is wine tasting available and limited edition WCWF (Wine Country Wiener Fest) logo wine glasses. Raffle tickets are available for purchase pre-sale at Wienerfest.info and the day of the event. There are food and beverages available for purchase both pre-sale at Wienerfest.info and on the day of the event.

The highlight of each year’s WCWF is the “Dexter’s Derby” Dachshund races. Dachshunds of all ages and mixes are invited to sign up to race in one of four divisions which will be broken down into four heats each. The winner of each of the four divisions (puppies, adult, seniors, mixes) advances to the final race where each division winner will have the chance at becoming the next “Dexter’s Derby Grand Champion”. Dexter’s Derby is run in memory of a foster doxie named Dexter who suffered from a neurological disorder that prevented him from walking. Last year’s Grand Champion winner was Presley Caetta from Placentia, CA, who completed the 53 foot sprint in 2.43 seconds which is 15 mph! The "Wieners" of the remaining divisions were Frankie Turnbull from Orange in the Puppy Division, Harry Wiener from Temecula in the Senior Division, and Spooky from Murrieta in the Doxie-Mix Division.

There will also be numerous Doxie games and contests throughout the day to include: guess the number of biscuits in the jar, longest and lightest wieners, best Doxie kisser and Doxie bingo. Also returning this year due to its very popular debut was the “Destroy the Toy” competition, won by Marley Cossaboom of Murrieta, who removed the squeeker from a plush toy in less than 4 minutes!
