Wine consumers have lower mortality compared to other alcoholic beverages

Due to the popularity of drinking alcohol it is not likely that initiatives by some health care activists to succeed with total abstinence of alcohol will meet with success just like the legal prohibition of alcohol failed. And so it is worth noting that there appears to be a lower mortality for people who drink wine in comparison to people who drink other types of alcoholic beverages. Nutrition Horizon has reported "Researchers Identify Lower Mortality for Wine Consumers Compared to Other Alcoholic Beverages."

It has been found that in comparison with spirits drinkers, wine drinkers generally have higher levels of education and income, consume a healthier diet, are more physically active, and have other characteristics which are associated with better health outcomes. Epidemiologic studies have however been inconsistent in showing that, after adjustment for all associated lifestyle factors, consumers of wine have a lower risk of cardiovascular disease and mortality than do consumers of other alcoholic beverages.

It has been indicated by experimental studies that the polyphenols and other constituents which are present in wine and some beers have independent protective effects against most cardiovascular risk factors. It has been difficult to determine in epidemiologic studies whether or not such advantages are seen among moderate drinkers of wine, or beer. It has been observed in most populations, drinkers of a specific beverage differ in many ways other than just the type of beverage they consume.

And so if you insist on drinking some alcohol as many people do aside from just considering a preference for wine it would appear wise to work on adhering to the same type of health care value system which many light to moderate wine drinkers appear to adhere to. Wine is available for purchase online from the HME Natural Health Online Mall.
