Those looking for an upscale experience during their next trek to Seattle should consider joining Butler Wine Tours and Bellevue’s Purple Café and Wine Bar for an Wine, Buy & Dine Experience. Held on Fridays and Saturdays from 3pm to 6pm, this tour will take guests on a two and a half hour tasting tour of Woodinville Wine Country located just 30 miles northeast of downtown Seattle. Within this region one finds fruit from almost every American Viticultural Area (AVA) in Washington State, and a burgeoning industry that's grown to over 780 wineries throughout the state.

Sit back in an 11 passenger Mercedes Benz Sprinter and let Stuart Butler or one of his hand-picked guides take you to at least three of Woodinville Wine Country’s tasting rooms and wineries. Thanks to their insider knowledge of this region, Stuart Butler can provide unique access that allows their guests to visit with the owners and winemakers for a more intimate glimpse into this industry.

Following a two and a half hour tasting tour, guests will return to Purple Café in Bellevue for dinner. While dinner and gratuity are not included in the $50 tour price, the corkage fee is waived on the first bottle of wine purchased during the tour and served at dinner. RSVPs are required, so call 206.233.9233 for availability.

Those seeking a more customized tour can book a private tour. Have a personal conversation with an award winning Woodinville Winemaker. Add a gourmet food pairing as part of the wine tasting experience. Sample some of the best reds available in the region. A winery tour can be tailored to one's given preferences that allows one to have a singular experience of the best wines in Woodinville.

A sample customized itinerary included a tasting at DeLille Cellars followed by a stop at Adams Bench, a winery known for its Cabernet Sauvignon. As this winery is off the beaten tourist path, one needs the insider access afforded by Stuart Butler to tour a specialized small winery like Adams Bench. After a stopover for coffee and a pastry at The French Bakery At The Vineyard, the tour continues with tastings and visits with the winemakers at Elevation Cellars and Barrage Cellars.

All tours are by reservation or appointment only.
