Low pressure will move from the mid Mississippi Valley this morning, to the Great Lakes tonight as it rapidly strengthens. This system will drag a strong cold front eastward across Ohio tonight.
It will be warm and humid across the area today ahead of the front. Showers and a few thunderstorms will be scattered across the area through early this afternoon, then become more numerous later in the day. It will become windy as well this afternoon. Highs today will reach the upper 60s to around 70 degrees. Winds SW 15-25 mph with gusts to 35 mph.

Showers and thunderstorms are likely tonight as the cold front crosses the area. A few of the storms could be severe. It will be windy with lows around 50. Winds S to SW 20-30 mph with gusts in excess of 45 mph possible.
Drier air will quickly spread across the area on Friday. Skies will remain mostly cloudy, but the rain showers should end early in the day. It will remain windy with highs reaching the mid to upper 50s. Winds SW 15-25 mph with gusts in excess of 35 mph possible.
Friday night will be partly to mostly cloudy with a slight chance of a shower as another cold front approaches from the west. Lows will be in the low to mid 40s.
On Saturday, the cold front will move across the area as a cold upper level trough digs into the Great Lakes. It will be mostly cloudy and chilly with scattered showers likely. Highs will be in the upper 40s to around 50 degrees. Temperatures could fall a few degrees during the afternoon.
Looking ahead: Saturday night and Sunday, the upper trough will swing eastward across the area. It will be mostly cloudy with scattered rain and snow showers possible, especially across the snow belt. Lows Saturday night will be in the 30s with highs on Sunday in the mid 40s.
High pressure will build back across the state early next week bringing a return to dry weather and moderating temperatures. Highs on Monday will be around 50 degrees with highs on Tuesday climbing to the mid to upper 50s.
