Winds of Rath is one of several "Magic: The Gathering" cards spoiled today Aug. 19, 2013 from the heroes deck list of "Duel Decks: Heroes vs. Monsters. Originally printed in "Tempest," Winds of Wrath is a conditional board sweeper that can be one-sided in the right deck.
Winds of Rath - 3WW
Destroy all creatures with no enchantments on them. Those creatures cannot be regenerated this turn.
"There shall be a vast shout and then a vaster silence."
What's better than destroying all of your opponent's creatures? Getting to keep your own. In a deck full of auras, that's exactly what will happen. Just slap an Ordeal of Purphoros onto your Anax and Cymede or other threat, cast Winds of Rath, and go to town.
If you're looking for a good place to utilize Winds of Rath, consider adding it right into last year's "Savage Auras" deck. Winds of Rath also makes a fantastic addition to many enchantment-based commanders such as Krond the Dawn-Clad, Erati, the Corrupted, Hanna, Ship's Navigator, and Zur, the Enchanter.
How will you use Winds of Rath?
