The Archos 9 is confirmed and looks great.
Archos has been in the news quite a bit lately, first with its Google Android tablet and now, for their upcoming Archos 9 that will be debuting with Windows 7 on October 22nd.
And yes, this news is completely confirmed (Engadget says so), which makes a lot of sense because that is when Windows 7 is set to make its full-fledged debut. The price is also pretty decent, with a reasonable tag of $499, pretty appealing for someone who is craving something like this.
Or, you could just wait for the Apple Tablet.
If there is one.
The specifications for the Archos 9 tablet look like this in case you missed it. A 9 inch resistive touchscreen, Intel® ATOM™ Z515 CPU running at 800/1200Mz, 1GB of RAM, 120GB internal hard drive, Integrated 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 2.1, built-in 1.3 Megapixel webcam and microphone, 1024 x 600 screen resolution.
So if that looks good to you, wait a few weeks and it will be available. And from the looks of things, this thing could be a big hit.
Keep an eye for it.
