Windfall to be Harlequin's reissue of Nora Roberts' Impulse and Temptation

Harlequin has scheduled another of its omnibus volumes, Windfall, for a September 29, 2009 release. A mass market paperback, Windfall will contain two of Nora Roberts' early Silhouette publications – the 1989 novella "Impulse" and the 1987 novel Temptation.

“Impulse” was originally included in the 1989 Silhouette Summer Sizzlers anthology. In “Impulse,” Rebecca Malone suddenly decides to quit her well paying position as an accountant and travel to Greece. She meets the mysterious Stephen Nickodemus in a Corfu restaurant.

Their romance is complicated by Rebecca's fear that Stephen is only attracted to the image of a  sophisticated world traveler that she conveys. Readers may view the first chapter of this novel on the Barnes and Noble website.

In Roberts' 1987 Silhouette standalone romance, Temptation, socialite Eden Carlbough encounters hard times after the death of her father. Her fiancé abandons her when he learns that her wealth has been depleted from settling her father's debts.

Eden and a friend decide to open a summer camp for girls as a source of income. She meets her neighbor, orchard owner Chase Elliot, when she steals an apple from one of his trees. Still wounded by her former fiancé's rejection, Eden has difficulty accepting Chase's love.

Windfall is the eighth Nora Roberts title published in Harlequin's 2009 Silhouette Special Releases series, which contains reprints of her early standalone and series Silhouette Romances. It follows the August 2009 release of Forever and precedes the October  2009 appearance of Western Skies.
