A powerful cold front will slide across West Michigan Thursday evening bringing some spooky wind and rain to West Michigan. Behind the front the wind will become very gusty overnight so the National Weather Service in Grand Rapids issued a Wind Advisory for all of West Michigan from 2 AM – 8 AM Friday. After midnight look for a sustained wind around 30mph with gusts near 50mph, potentially bring down tree limbs and creating power outages.
With the heavy rain on Thursday and continuing into Saturday some flooding is possible. Be alert if you live in or near any rivers of low lying areas. Take the time now to clear drains of debris or fallen leaves.
