"Win the Prize!"(Philippians 3:13-14)

This weekend a local congregation is hosting a women’s conference. March is Women’s History Month so it is a great opportunity to celebrate the occasion while attending this event. New Life Church of God in Christ will host several speakers coming other parts of the state of Tennessee. (See article link below.) Women will receive spiritual nourishment and wisdom to overcome obstacles and challenges. Also, a special encouragement will be given on leaving the past behind and pushing ahead into the best Godly future.

God has given the Word of God to encourage believers. One of the things that we can do is leave the past behind and be encouraged to find God’s will for life. This may not be an easy thing for some people to forget the past, but with God all things are possible. The Apostle Paul wrote that encouragement is found in Jesus Christ. He stated in the following verses:

Brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus.”(Philippians 3:13-14)

Believer, you are to be encouraged that each day has a new beginning and a new start. God gives another opportunity and blesses us to do His will. Keep on pressing toward Jesus! You will win if you do not give up!
