Hopefully by now, you feeling the stirrings of inspiration, getting very hungry, or making a shopping list that includes Michigan apples, cinnamon, nutmeg, allspice, and Calvados.
The contest is open from October 15 through January 31, 2011. Your entry should be typed or printed legibly and include your name, address, phone number, email, and the recipe on one side of an 8 1/2 by 11 inch sheet. This contest is sponsored by the Michigan Apple Committee, so make sure you specify which Michigan grown apple should be used in your recipe. Mail your entry to Michigan Apple Committee, 13750 S Sedona Parkway, Suite 3, Lansing, MI 48906. You can also email your entry to staff@MichiganApples.com.
Recipes will be judged based on:
Taste - Does the recipe sound like it would taste good?
Originality - Is the recipe unique and original?
Preparation - Is the recipe straight-forward and easy to follow?
Apple Significance - Do apples have a major role in the flavor of the dish?
