As mentioned in our article about the film’s Telluride Film Festival premiere, ‘The Descendants’ was filmed on two of the Hawaiian Islands: Oahu and Kauai. While Matt (Clooney) and his daughters live on Oahu, one of the film’s story lines finds them traveling to Kauai together for a few days, where they stay on the island’s North Shore, in The Presidential Suite of the St. Regis Princeville Resort.
