We’re getting closer to April in Paris!
The 63rd annual Cannes Film Festival will be held May 12 through 23, 2010, and Stella Artois is hosting a unique competition whereby you can “inherit Jacques d’Azur’s week at the festival” in this luxurious South of France resort town.
Residents of California are, for some unexplained reason, restricted from the competition, but residents of the remaining 49 states are free to enter. (Full “Competition Details” are linked at the bottom of the sweepstakes entry page.)
The FABU Festival de Cannes grand prize trip includes:
- Round-trip business-class flights;
- Two nights’ hotel accommodation with all inclusive meals and beverages;
- Access to exclusive VIP Cannes film festival screenings; and

It was recently announced that Ridley Scott’s Robin Hood, starring Russell Crowe and Cate Blanchett, will open this year’s festival on May 12 (out of competition), immediately prior to the film’s worldwide release on May 14. That would certainly be a fun event to attend and would also seem to fit well with the “steal from the rich and give to the poor” implication of the Stella Artois Cannes Film Festival sweepstakes, which you can enter here.

Thanks for the heads up about the non-entry status for Californians. Most, if not all, contests that are "related" to alcoholic beverages will not allow CA residents to enter. I will forward the info to my friends.
