Held the first Saturday of each month, March through December, Wimberley Market Day is a morning of strolling, browsing, shopping, and eating not to be missed. The market is set up like a huge winding maze of stalls. Enjoy wandering around, blissfully lost, looking at everything from stained glass to vintage toys. There are more than 475 vendors who sell all manner of new, used, antique and handcrafted items. Visit the online photo gallery to get a taste of all there is on offer.
Wimberley Market opens at 7 a.m. on Saturday, April 3, and is free to the public. You will, however, have to pay $3 for parking, which is a donation to the Lions Club of Wimberley. Bring a hat and wear sunscreen because there is not much shade. You might also want to bring something to cart your purchases around in, because invariably you end up far from your car when you find the perfect treasure to buy.
Wimberley is located in between Austin and San Antonio. Directions can be found here. Happy Shopping!
