Willie Nelson released his latest album titled “To All the Girls...” on Oct 15, 2013 which includes 18 tracks filled with duets from some big name female artists performing with Nelson on his hits. Carrie Underwood joins Nelson on “Always On My Mind” while Miranda Lambert performs “She Was No Good For Me” with Nelson.
Dolly Parton takes a turn with Nelson on his new album singing “From Here To The Moon And Back” and “Far Away Places” has Sheryl Crow paired with Nelson. Loretta Lynn, Wynonna Judd, Norah Jones, Lily Meola, Alison Krauss and Rosanne Cash also took part in “To All the Girls...” by pairing up with Willie Nelson on his latest release.
Nelson talked to Radio.com about how the duets came together saying “It had a lot to do with who was available, who was in town. Buddy Cannon is probably the best guy to do these things because he’s a great producer. He got us all together.”
Nelson also spoke about getting ready to begin a follow up album that will include new music he has written. Nelson said “I have a studio in Austin that’s opening back up. It’s been closed for a while” adding “We have some new equipment in there and we’re going to do an album with me and my band and sister Bobbie and do some original stuff.”
