Country Legends took the stage of the 56th Annual Grammy Awards on Sunday night and offered an epic performance. Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard were joined by Blake Shelton on the Grammys stage and the four talented entertainers belted out some popular tunes. It was a perfect country moment on the Grammys.
With several songs in the medley, the entertainers offered up a few classic tunes, but even the rockers at the award show knew all the words. The segment started with the classic single Highwayman and ended with group singing Mammas Don’t Let Your Babies Grow Up to Be Cowboys.
While the three older artists definitely impressed the fans, Blake Shelton offered a good mix to the show as well. Able to give the younger audience of taste of his style, the mix was perfect. Even though fans admit it seemed a little odd at first as there seemed to be such a generational difference, but Blake soon put everyone at ease.
Take a look at the video clip of Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, Merle Haggard and Blake Shelton performing live at the Grammys. Hopefully the entertainers will perform together again in the future, but tonight was a collaboration of epic musical proportions.
