“Duck Dynasty” stars Willie and Korie Robertson have just scheduled an exclusive interview with Fox News Channel. According to Deadline on Dec. 30, the famous couple will be a part of the special titled “All-American New Year” on Tuesday night.
Fox’s Bill Hemmer and Elisabeth Hasselbeck will be chatting with the reality stars via live satellite from Steamboat Springs, Colo. Currently they are the only two of the Robertson clan that is expected to be interviewed. It is doubtful that the Duck Commander himself, Phil Robertson, will be making an appearance. Since his interview with GQ magazine that came out earlier this month, controversy has continued to follow the family.
On Friday, A&E announced the reinstatement of the 67-year-old patriarch saying that he will be back on the show and will start filming this coming spring. “Duck Dynasty is not a show about one man’s views…they come together to reflect and pray for unity, tolerance and forgiveness,” A&E said in a statement. “These are three values that we at A&E networks also feel strongly about.”
It will be quite interesting to find out just what Willie and Korie have to say in the interview. Supposedly, the two will be discussing the situation and will also be dishing on what the future holds for the family. The bandanna-wearing CEO did take to his Twitter account for the first time since this all erupted saying, “Back to work!!! So proud of all the fans of the show and family. Ole Phil may be a little crude but his heart is good. He's the Real Deal!”
It sounds like he is in full support of his dad, despite the fact that the elder Robertson is quite outspoken and makes no bones on how his faith is a huge part of his life. It also sounds like things are falling back into place for the “Duck Dynasty” family.
The New Year's Eve special will air on Dec. 31 at 9 p.m. EST on Fox News Channel.
