Actor William Shatner is an actor and novelist. He gained worldwide fame and became a cultural icon for his portrayal of James T. Kirk, captain of the starship USS Enterprise, in the television series Star Trek (1966-1969).
Shatner also authored a series of science fiction novels called TekWar that were adapted for television.
Further into his career, 1982 to 1986, Shatner played the title veteran police sergeant in T.J. Hooker. He has since worked as a musician, author, producer, director, and celebrity pitchman.
From 2004 to 2008 he starred as attorney Denny Crane on the television drama Boston Legal, for which he has won two Emmy Awards and a Golden Globe Award.
Each week the professional wrestling show WWE Raw airs Mondays on the USA Network at 9:00 p.m., eastern time. It has a different guest host every week. William Shatner will be the guest host of WWE Raw on February 1, 2010.
Freddie Joe Brisco better known as Jack Brisco, was a former American professional wrestler who was popular during the 1970s, and into the 1980s. He died on February 1, 2010 at 68.
Brisco performed for various territories of the National Wrestling Alliance (NWA), becoming a two-time NWA World Heavyweight Champion, and multi-time NWA Tag Team Champion with his brother Gerald Brisco. Brisco was considered one of the top wrestlers of his era. In 2005 Don Leo Jonathan called him "probably the greatest champion of the 20th century."
