William Shatner joins Reddit and answers fan questions

According to ComicBook.com on Feb. 7, William Shatner joined Reddit in an AMA session answering “Star Trek” fan questions. Shatner answered questions that even involved sleeping with a fan.

For those skeptics out there who doubt that Shatner would ever engage his fans in an AMA session on Reddit, he had also taken himself to the other side of cyberspace on his Twitter account to share he had been spending time learning the ins and outs of Reddit.

The dialogue between Shatner and fans had been quite diverse, some of which was a question about his cure for tinnitus and his response was the fact that he still lives with his condition by a method of habituation.

Also, a Reddit patron had suggested that sleeping with a fan would help aid him and his ability to deal with tinnitus. Shatner, oblivious to the type of fan that was being spoken of, suggested having that Reddit user blocked. Redditors quickly clarified that the “fan” in this context is the kind of device that blows air. Jokes about sexually oblivious Trekkies ran about the chat room such as, “It’s not every day you accidentally hit on Shatner”.

More of the AMA session can be found on the “Star Trek” section of Reddit.
