William and Mary women win against Yale

The William and Mary women won against Yale at a home meet on Friday evening.

The Tribe scored a team total of 193.300 while Yale posted a team total of 189.925.

William and Mary had a strong showing on floor exercise and swept the apparatus. Sophomore Maggie Lundeen scored the team high with a 9.925 and took first. Junior Jessica Pritchard placed second with a 9.875 followed by junior Larson Lasek in third with a 9.800.

The team also swept vault. Freshman Brittany Stover scored the team high and placed first with a 9.825. Senior Jennifer Ware took second with a 9.700 and Lasek finished in third with a 9.675.

As on floor exercise and vault, the Tribe took the top three spots on uneven bars. Pritchard took first with a 9.850. Stover placed second with a 9.825 and Sophomore Stacia Ruse took third with a 9.775.

The only struggle for William and Mary came on balance beam. Lasek scored the team high of 9.775 and won the apparatus. Stover took third with a 9.725. But the team also had to count a pair of 9.050s.

William and Mary swept the all-around. Stover took first with a total of 39.150 followed by Pritchard with a 39.025 and Lasek with a 38.975.

The next meet for the William and Mary women will be a home meet against Temple on Sunday, March 17.
