Smallville Executive producer Kelly Souders has told Entertainment Weekly that they are " really, pushing for season 10,"  and hoping that fans get the word out about the Boy/Teen/Young Adult of Steel  being on Friday nights as she feels some of their audience may not be aware of this season's schedule change.

I think fans know where to find Smallville if they want it, but after nine years of teasing us - it's time for Clark to "fly or get off the pot".  I don't care for the way they have turned him into a pseudo-Neo looking trenchcoat hero and would much prefer a storyline that ends with him landing in the center of some colossal disaster to swelling major chords and a giant S on his chest.

So what about that Kelly?

"We think 'Smallville' from the get-go was about how a young man turns into Superman. And it's really about the journey getting there. I can't make any promises, but if it was ever going to happen, it would be at the very end," said Souders.

Great.

So just when you FINALLY give us what we have patiently waited nine years for -  the credits roll and the screen goes dark.

Well it's still better than One Tree Hill...

Sigh.
