Will Smith investigated: Actor probed over daughter's scandalous photo

Will Smith is being investigated over a photo that his 13-year-old daughter, Willow, was in with a 20-year-old friend of hers -- Moises Arias. The image drew an onslaught of criticism when Arias posted the photo on social media. He was shirtless with the bottom half of his body under the sheets in bed while Willow was clothed laying near him.

RadarOnline reports May 20 that besides Will being investigated, his wife, Jada Pinkett Smith, is also being probed at by the Los Angeles Department of Children & Family Services. The case was officially opened last week and the department is taking the matter seriously, a source told Radar.

“Will and Jada Pinkett Smith have been extremely cooperative with officials. Of course, they aren’t happy that their parenting skills are under scrutiny, but they understand," the insider said.

Case workers will be interviewing Willow separately from her parents. Arias will be interviewed, too. This investigation is predicted to last at least one month with multiple visits "out of an abundance of caution.”

Daily Mail reports that last year Will Smith told Metro he and Jada don't believe in punishing their kids; they feel that their children should have as much control over their lives as possible. That alone would make many wonder how responsible their parenting is.

It's not a total surprise that Will Smith and his wife are being investigated. The black and white image of their daughter with a 20-year-old was bound to raise suspicion despite the fact it was considered "an expression of art" and "innocent fun."
