Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith are once again denying rumors that they are getting divorced. The Smiths are also denying reports that they are selling their home in Calabasas, Calif., and possibly another home in Hawaii.
On Sept. 2, 2013, a spokesperson for the Smiths (who have been married since 1997) commented to the Daily Mail about these rumors: "This is all completely false and their home is not on the market."
The rumors began when Real Estalker reported that Will and Jada were selling their $42 million, 25,000-square-foot mansion in Calabasas. According to the Huffington Post, "The adobe-style home, designed by Stephen Samuelson, took years to build and features a recording studio, meditation room, a private terrace off the master bathroom and a free-form pool all on 150 acres. It was featured in Architectural Digest in 2011."
Speculation then began that if the Smiths were selling their home, then they might be getting divorced. Several gossip websites such as Hollywood Life fueled these divorce rumors.
Hollywood power couple Will and Jada have repeatedly denied rumors that they are getting divorced. The Smiths are not only famous actors but they are also producers in movies and television. Their credits as film producers include 2010's "The Karate Kid" and 2013's "After Earth." (Both of those movies starred their son Jaden. 'The Karate Kid" was a hit, but "After Earth" was a flop.)
Jada was also an executive producer of her TV series "Hawthorne," which was on the air from 2009 to 2011. Jada and Will are executive producers of the nationally syndicated daytime talk show "The Queen Latifah Show," which premieres in the U.S. on Sept. 16, 2013.
Will and Jada have two kids together: son Jaden (born in 1998) and daughter Willow (born in 2000). Will also has a son named Trey (born in 1992) from his first marriage to ex-wife Sheree, whom he was married to from 1992 to 1995. Sheree is now a co-star of the reality TV series "Hollywood Exes," which is about former wives of celebrities.
Jada is reprising her "Madagascar" voice role of Gloria the hippo in the 2015 animated film "The Penguins of Madagascar." Will's next movie is the fantasy film "Winter's Tale," which will be released in the U.S. and Canada on Feb. 14, 2014.
