If Lamar Odom doesn't get his life in order, chances are he may not play in the NBA this year. Odom had a decent season last year with the L.A. Clippers, but he didn't seem to play to his full potential which could have been related to his drug problem. Now it seems that he may not have a season at all if he continues to refuse treatment.
His name is on the Clippers' roster, but that does not mean anything.
After he left the Dallas Mavericks and joined the Clippers, Odom had a good chance to have a break out season last year; but that didn't happen. He played decent but not like the Lamar Odom of the 2003-2004 Miami Heat and of his years in a L.A. Lakers uniform in which he became a two time NBA champion.
With his season in jeopardy, Odom will need to get himself clean from drugs and back into basketball shape if he plans on having a home in the NBA. He apparently has lost a lot of weight, but hopefully this weight loss will make it easier for him to get back into shape and back to being the dominant player he has been in the past.
