Ever since he hinted that his girlfriend Kim Kardashian was expecting a baby, the spotlight has seemed to shine even brighter upon music mogul Kanye West.
This past week alone, West has been in the headlines for vacationing to France with Kardashian, reportedly purchasing an $11 million house in Bel Air, California with her, and even turning down a large sum of money for the first rights to pictures of his expected newborn.
Speaking to HollywoodLife.com on Saturday, Jan. 12, a source close to the 35-year old rapper shed light on how he is handling his current situation.
“You know Kanye is just rolling with the punches right now with everything,” claimed the insider. “He not tripping, yet. All this TV [stuff] is new to him and Kim is explaining to him that everything is going to be OK and she’s encouraging him to just go with the fact that the pregnancy, or at least part of it, will be filmed.”
That isn’t surprising to hear from Kim, who has been immersed in the public’s spotlight in recent years. But it seems that Kanye may be trying to keep his child off of the airwaves for the time being.
“I know deep down, [Kanye] isn’t trying to pimp out his baby like that,” the source continued. “He and Kim got way more than enough money to take care of 100 kids if they want to have that many. But he [knows] that when it comes to Kim and her family, especially that mother of hers, it’s all business and that show is how they make their money. So he juggling all this [stuff] in his head right now.”
And while Kim’s mother Kris Jenner, known to the world as the Kardashian matriarch, is surely salivating over the idea of bringing Kim’s baby into the reality mix, Kanye may likely try to put a halt to such ideas.
“Kanye is a man who acts on his own,” added the source. “People need to remember that. He doesn’t let nobody control what he does and when he told the world Kim was pregnant, he did it on his own accord. That’s his baby; Kris [Jenner] didn’t get Kim pregnant. He did, so he will do what he wants to and when he wants to. There isn’t any beef, though, between Kanye and Kris. They’re cool as hell. Fact is, though, Kanye and Kim are calling all the shots with their baby, nobody else”
