Will Josh Kaufman or Christina Grimmie win 'The Voice'?

All season long YouTube sensation Christina Grimmie has delivered electrifying performances. But soul singer Josh Kaufman has been steadily rising to the top of the heap. His renditions have almost reached the top of the Itunes charts. With an epic fiery performance of Adele's "Set Fire to the Rain" on Monday nights finals Josh Kaufman may have cemented the first win for Team Usher.
Also in the running is country crooner Jake Worthington. Country fans might create an upset and hand the high school senior the win. His songs from Monday night charted well on Itunes. But for my money the real race is between Grimmie and Kaufman. Both became standouts once the live shows began.
Grimmie made unexpected and interesting song choices throughout the season. Her performance of Lil Wayne's "How to love" is one of the my top performances this season. Many of her choices were excellent, like Drake's "Hold on we're going home". Some not so much like Katy Perry's "Dark Horse" and everything from last week's episode which landed her deservedly so in the bottom three.
One of the things that Grimmie has over the other contestants is that she has a huge following on social media, many of the other contestants do not. Not only is she a gigantic Youtube star, Christina has more than 550k twitter followers vs. Josh's less than 45k. Jake has closer to 70k but still no match for the reach that Christina has in terms of social media presence.
But Josh Kaufman, who was almost booted from the show during the battle rounds and saved by Usher has been solid and consistent since the live rounds began. Kaufman has big name support. Justin Bieber and P. Diddy have tweeted out support for Kaufman.
Kaufman should win tonight. He has grown so much as an artist from his first appearance. He has a beautifully soulful voice and a wonderful demeanor.
If Christina wins that wouldn't surprise me. She has a huge following and she delivered a great rendition of an Elvis classic last night. But if by some chance Jake wins then I will have to seriously consider ending my love affair with The Voice. While Jake has a great voice, he's still unseasoned and young, so young. Not once has he wowed the crowd and electrified the stage the way that Christina and Josh have respectively.
I'm still smarting from last go around when Team Usher standout Michelle Chamuel lost to Team Blake's Danielle Bradbury. Chamuel's loss taught me a valuable lesson: never underestimate the power of the country vote.
While both Christina and Josh hit the top ten on Itunes, Josh's songs barely charted. A win for Josh is nowhere near guaranteed.
