A top flight Los Angeles lawyer for Kate Gosselin, Marty Singer, has written a hardball letter to Jon Gosselin's lawyer Mark Heller alleging that Jon withdrew $200,000 from a joint bank account.
According to Singer's letter, Jon and possibly his attorney have violated a court order.
Jon talked to "Larry King" about wanting to save his marriage with Kate at around the same time he allegedly drained the bank account.
Singer told RadarOnline, "We will be looking into potential claims against Mr. Heller if he had any involvement with the violation of the court order."
Kate reportedly discovered the account had been emptied when she received overdraft notices
“It is very disappointing that Jon Gosselin has escalated this to such an ugly place that her lawyers have to do everything they can to protect her and her children from his outrageous actions," Singer said.
The letter contained some strong language, "We demand the immediate return to the account of all monies improperly withdrawn by your client. If you and your client fail to comply with this demand, you do so at your peril."
What kind of peril? If Jon has violated a court order, then he may be held in contempt, which could place him in the pokey.
The letter was obtained by TMZ, read it by clicking here.

This is an all too common tactic in a divorce and there should be stiff penalties for it, regardless of having a court order or not. I dont care if it is Jon, Kate or Joe and Jane Blow. The courts should not ever allow something like this to happen. The offending party should be held in jail until the money is returned and the settlement is rendered legally upon finalization of the divorce. If the courts would begin enforcing such orders, this would happen less often. In Jon's case, he belongs in a mental ward for the irresponsible way he has behaved. I guess this is the newfound "empowerment" he was referring to on LKL last week.
trust me, after going threw the same thing, jon will never see a day in jail. courts wont put him in jail and his lawyers know that.
