Will.i.am premiered the “Scream & Shout” remix ahead of schedule on Thursday morning. The minimalistic clip is similar to original version, but this time has a more urban lean, as Britney and the many rappers on the track are featured in a futuristic light.
The Hit Boy remix of “Scream & Shout” was suppose to premiere on Friday, but will.i.am gave fans an early Valentine's Day surprise. Multiplicity and the future are themes from the original video that carry into the remix clip with Diddy, Waka Flocka Flame, Lil Wayne, and Spears rocking forward fashion while being flashed across the screen. Since the remix is a lot more urban in sound, Britney wears an Adidas tracksuit that is modified to look futuristic, which the guys also do in their upgraded outfits. In a way, it's a throwback to the hip-hop looked she worked in unfinished “Outrageous” clip. As she whips her hair in the background, everyone else gets face time when their portion of the track comes on. The crowd definitely brings the action in the remix video.
“Scream & Shout” previews will.i.am's “#willpower” album, due out later this year. The original version of the track currently sits at no. 3 on Billboard's Hot 100.
