Will Howard Stern's Eric the Midget capitalize on Balloon Boy's fame?
With the Heene family Balloon Boy hoax dominating this week's headlines, some Howard Stern Show fans are wondering whether Wack Packer Eric the Midget will finally take Howard Stern up on his offer to "fly with balloons."
The Howard Stern Show cast has repeatedly approached Eric the Midget with the proposal that they attach balloons to the Wack Packer's wheelchair and see if he takes flight. Producers even promised to attempt to arrange a meeting between Eric the Midget and one of his favorite American Idol contestants Katharine McPhee if he agreed to the Balloon Boy-esque stunt. Howard Stern Show producers previously arranged a successful meeting between Wack Packer Eric the Midget and American Idol runner-up Diana DeGarmo.
Until now, Eric the Midget has scoffed at the proposal.
But any fan of The Howard Stern Show knows that Eric the Midget loves the spotlight. With this week's Balloon Boy media blitz, some Howard Stern Show fans are wondering if the dream of "Eric the Balloon-naut" could finally become a reality after all.
