Will he or won't he? Bon Jovi's Richie Sambora hints at fall return to the band

Estranged Bon Jovi chord-shredder Richie Sambora may be telling secrets out of school which is sure to make fans longing for him happy, and possibly infuriate a band-mate and group CEO who practically demands silence.

In an online interview exclusive with, the Slim Cool Duke appeared with fashion business partner Nikki Lund to answer some of the most pressing questions surrounding his continued absence and anticipated return to one of rock's most enduring bands.

Wearing enormous hipster sunglasses and licking his lips more times than a racehorse romancing a salt lick, Sambora told RumorFix that he hasn’t quit the band, and that “things just aren’t happening right now”.

“Jon and I have relied on each other for like, thirty years now”, he said, “Ya know so, things are gonna work out”.

The awol artist happily pointed out that he has been spending quality time with teen daughter and aspiring model Ava, as well as spending significant time pushing the Nikki Rich fashion line.

“You know, I’ve been touring for thirty years, and this is the first time I’ve been home for THREE MONTHS”, Sambora pointed out, hinting that his musical gas tank with Bon Jovi may simply have hovered too close to empty after all these years.

“Thirty years livin’ out of a suitcase”, he explained, “and now I’m feelin’ normal; really NORMAL, you know what I mean?”

When asked by RumorFix if he were permanently off the remainder of the Because We Can tour, Sambora played that notion down, merely saying the two sides were ‘close’ to an accommodation, but not offering specifics.

When pressed for a definitive explanation of what ‘personal reasons’ had caused the guitar virtuoso to do what bananas normally do and split, he smartly left that question alone, saying “The band is like family, and family matters are personal”.

So Bon Jovi fans, take this information with a grain of salt.

While Richie may well be coming back to the fold in time for September shows, it’s also entirely possible that those in the know in the Bon Jovi camp (Jon Bon and brother Matthew) will continue to tell fans eagerly anticipating a warm and fuzzy reunion to not listen to or believe the gossip on TMZ or RumorFix.

But hey, they can't tell us not to dream, right?
