Some Super Bowl Commercials are worth moving to Nebraska to watch. The release of the Will Ferrell’s Super Bowl commercial for Old Milwaukee apparently was only for North Platte, Nebraska making the rest of the United States jealous that the midwestern state got a special treat.
Perhaps it isn’t unusual to see regional commercials with celebrities, but this particular brand of beverage is sold around the country and the commercial would have been appreciated by everyone as it was top notch. Of course there is the matter of the fee for placement during the Super Bowl as it costs several million dollars so maybe it was a strategic decision to release it locally.
According to Entertainment Weekly the commercial’s appeal is “stunning in its simplicity” and most Will Ferrell fans will agree that the end of the commercial is humor just as the entertainer shows in the movies. It’s over the top and complete unexpected as most would figure Ferrell would at least finish the commercial.
Take a look at the video clip of Will Ferrell in the Old Milwaukee Super Bowl commercial. This funny spot deserved to be seen nationwide, but somehow the lucky residents of Nebraska saw it exclusively.
