Will Ferrell accepts Red Hot Chili Pepper's Chad Smith's drum battle for charity

On Feb. 10 Rolling Stone reports that Will Ferrell has accepted the drum battle challenge from his doppelganger, Red Hot Chili Pepper's drummer Chad Smith. In a recent Reddit AMA, RHCP drummer Chad Smith called out Ferrell telling him that he's seen his drum skills, and he doesn't have them.

When Will Ferrell saw this on Reddit, he shot back a message and graciously accepted the challenge as long as the two could raise $300,000 for the charity Cancer for College. He continues to say in his nonsensical way;

"I will face off with you in the greatest drum vs. cowbell showdown the world has ever seen. We can do it on stage at a Red Hot Chili Peppers concert or in front of a mutually convenient public library. Your call. Also, would you rather fight a hundred duck sized ducks or one horse sized horse?"

Smith fired off with a comment about Ferrell being off his meds and that he is far more talented and handsome than Ferrell (seriously, they look alike,) but would gladly face off with him. He made warning not to bring his family, especially his kids so that he wouldn't be too embarrassed.

After the back and forth, Chad Smith shared a picture of himself giving blood on Twitter with the caption that he was "Getting juiced for the drum battle." So far, a time and date has not been set. There is no word on whether the money has been raised for the charity or not as of yet.

Do you think that Will Ferrell can stand his own against Red Hot Chili Pepper's drummer, Chad Smith?
