Will CM Punk return to the WWE for Wrestlemania XXX?

According to a Feb. 19 report from CagesideSeats.com, WWE legend "Stone Cold" Steve Austin predicts that CM Punk will return to the WWE fold just in time for Wrestlemania XXX.

Austin appeared on The Ross Report podcast to discuss his feelings on the matter. He seemed fairly certain that Punk will be back in the ring for the upcoming pay-per-view event in New Orleans.

It started off as a shoot, it will turn into a work. CM Punk will reappear for WrestleMania 30. Mark my words - that's my prediction.

Punk walked out on the WWE last month, after competing for close to an hour at the Royal Rumble.

He was apparently legitimately worn out and broken down from years of being tossed around inside the ring. Punk hasn't appeared at any of the promotion's house shows since last month's Royal Rumble battle.

However, it's not clear at present time if his departure from the WWE is all just a part of some kind of elaborate storyline.

There's a decent chance that the WWE scripted the whole thing, blurring the lines between reality and fiction by granting Punk an extended vacation to heal up for Wrestlemania XXX.

Punk may have legitimately needed an extended break, but he has now had a month to get his body healed up in time for Wrestlemania XXX.

As for Austin himself, he seemed to rule out his own return to the ring.

"That's the cool thing about life and business and wrestling and whatever. Everybody has their own ideas of what's acceptable, everybody has their levels or standards of what's cool for them," Austin said. "Me, personally, I hope I'm alive for another 30, 35, 40 years. I don't want to go back and regret anything.

"I've got a few regrets in my life; walking away from the company was one of them. Going back and having a potential stinker would be the biggest one of all. I would just soon let my legacy be what it was and I had a damn blast doing it. I want to be engaged and do a few things in the future but not in that capacity."
