Is Emma Watson plating Anastasia in the "50 Shades of Grey" movie? According to Screen Rant on March 15, the hacker group Anonymous claims they hacked Focus Features websites and found out that she was.
However, Entertainment Weekly contacted Focus Features reps and they said no casting had been done yet, and Emma Watson was not cast to play Anastasia in the very adult oriented movie. Honestly, the idea of Hermione playing the lead in what amounts to soft core porn seems strange.
It is interesting to note that the original book started out as "Twilight" fan fiction, so the basis of the work was a young adult novel series. That is where Emma Watson made her name, but starring in the "50 Shades of Grey" movie still seems wrong from a girl that the world watch grow up before their eyes.
Emma Watson has been a heavily rumored candidate for the role for awhile, so it wasn't quite as surprising. At the same time, Anonymous has the power to hack into anyone's computers, and there is always the chance they have plans for Watson to star as Anastasia and only time will tell which story is true.
