Will Adam Lambert get 'carried away' at the Academy Awards?
On Thursday morning's The View, chief executive yammerer Barbara Walters brought up rumors that Adam Lambert will be asked to perform at this year's Academy Awards ceremony. Adam Lambert's song 'A Time for Miracles' was featured in the film 2012, and has Oscar buzz, according to the New York Post.
Barbara Walters asked Adam Lambert how television executives can trust that he won't give another wild live performance like the one he gave at the American Music Awards last month.
Adam Lambert's pre-taped The View interview and performance aired Thursday morning on ABC due to concerns that Lambert would improvise more racy stunts like he did on the AMA stage.
"It was a crazy performance," Adam Lambert told Barbara Walters of the AMA scandal that's gotten him banned from live TV, at least temporarily. "I got carried away. I got caught up in the moment. It's a one time performance. It wasn't supposed to be an announcement, you know 'this is how i'm going to be now all the time'."
Barbara Walters asked Adam Lambert the question that television network executives seem to be asking each other in board rooms all over the entertainment industry: "How do we know you won't get carried away again?"
"I think now I'm a little more conscious of it. I don't think it's something i really even thought about," responded Lambert.
The Academy Awards nominations will be announced on February 22, 2010.f

I think Barbara is homophobic!
BUT, Barbara liked kissing Julianne Moore! Barbara is not homophobic, but ABC is very afraid to show MALE on male sexuality! HUGE double standards going on in the media.
Silly girl, As much as I would LIKE to see it win an award "Time For Miracles' is NOT eligible for an Oscar, BECAUSE songs have to be written FOR the movie. TFM was NOT written for 2012. It was written before they even started filming the movie. So, I really think you should do some research and get your facts straight, BEFORE you publish stuff like this, and get the fans hopes up for nothing.
Total double standard, and yes she allowed for 2 girls to kiss but 2 guys?? Not fair, that just says alot about Barbara Walters!
Of course Adam will not make the same mistake again. He was edgy enough on Idol without crossing the line. Any show would benefit from having him on to perform and/or to give out awards. He is smart and funny and people love to hear him talk. And, of course he is an amazing singer, so he should perform. People are making a big deal out of nothing. He won't do it again.

The good news is Adam is behaving. The TRAGIC news is: Adam is behaving!! What fun is that?? Why can't hetero women and gay guys ever have anything hot to look at without the wrath of Straight Guy busting up the party? C'mon, Adam, shake it . . . we won't tell!
The ladies of The View made it clear that they all, all,like and support Adam. Watch the segment of his appearance on The View site or on 'hulu' or on mjsbigblog or youtube. The four gals think like adults- proves intelligent life still exists at ABC and kudos to them for not being scared of sexuality on tv. As Joy said, it's far more on daytime soap operas & kids are home, and Eliz said Adam's performance at 11pm was in adult time frame.
Adam is an intelligent businssman. He will behave of course. It is maybe not as fun that way, but he knows he has to play by the rules in Prime Time now. Too bad the rules are so boring, but I will watch him no matter what.
I think what Adam's performance and his dynamic presence has had an impact: It has become clear that the "f*g*t" word is no better than the "N" word. I also think many people now realize how freaking prejudice America is being against gays and how afraid men and women are of male sexuality. Adam is creating change along with fantastic music. He didn't set out to do it that way, but here we are. Adam Rocks!!
His performance sucked, but at least something good came out of it. Awareness....about the homophobic idiots we have running tv and this country. Same thing happened to me in a different context. I was asked to submit works of art for a gallery exhibition so I did. It was of nude men, (NOT SEXUALLY suggestive at all!). One was a nude body with a lamp for a head. and the other was a nude old man drawn four times from different angles in the same space (like he was contemplating something). and they were not shown because the CHILDREN would see it. Are you effing kidding me?. If Italy had all these homophobic self-conscious idiots running the country, they would have no art to show. (the David, along with 90% of the art would be hidden) what a joke! I sure hope Adam does something similar for the Academy Awards. Then, nobody would EVER forget him!! hahaha

DUH!!! Of course he won't get "carried away," he does have a brain afterall. As he's said, he shouldn't continually be judged on one performance. One of the most attractive things, among many, about Adam Lambert is that he is an intelligent and articulate man, who is young and somewhat vulnerable.

ADAMis not singing TFM at the Oscar's because it is not eligible to be nominated. What I am looking forward is that one day soon, ADAM is the perfect showman to host the Oscar's. Just like what Billy Crystal did, ADAM can sing a medley introducing all the nominated movies. He would be perfect for the job. Best if he could sing the nominated songs.
This is like the dumbest question ever. Adam Lambert is a professional entertainer. We've all ready seen the 2012 music video and Adam would perform that type of song in that typical same fashion. ABC is freaking disgusting trying to keep this AMA aftermath going. I'm so glad my mom and her friends have vowed not to play Disney or ABC channels in their houses. Their treatment and bans on Adam Lambert make me sick. This is a great singer and he is changing the culture as we know it for the youth of tomorrow. My younger sister will be able to grow up in a better world because of guys like Adam Lambert who have the courage to take chances, make folks think and stand up to the powers that be. Adam Lambert isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in and he isn't afraid to be himself. He's pushed the Gay Rights movement ahead and he did that all just sticking up for himself.
