The council provides advice to the Department of the Interior on policies and working with interested groups concerning improving recreational hunting opportunities and preserving wildlife.

3. Funding for public and private lands conservation.

The public is also invited to submit written information. The council will take public testimony for half an hour for preregistered speakers, with no on allotted more than two minutes.
