While the City of Vista currently has no active fires, officials state that volunteers are helping to keep an eye out in the community, and Oceanside's Assemblyman Rocky Chavez said yesterday that there have been reports of people using aerial drones to take pictures of the fires.

It was yet another sweltering day for fire fighting crews which continued to battle brush fires in northern San Diego County.

"Vista Fire Stations are adequately staffed and units are also assisting our neighboring cities. Senior Sheriff & Fire volunteers are driving around Vista to help in keeping an eye out in the community," according to the official Vista website information today.

Assemblyman Chavez said using drones could interfere with “our heroes doing their work,” especially personnel in water-dropping helicopters according to an LATimes article.
