Wild dogs viciously killed 4 people in Mexico City and the bodies have been discovered within the past two weeks, according to authorities. The killings took place in a park located on the outskirts of Mexico City. On Jan. 7, FOX reported that while one young victim was being attacked by the wild dogs, she called her sister to desperately plea for help.
The first bodies were discovered by some neighbors of Cerro de la Estrella, which is a hilltop park. The neighbors walked up on the gruesome scene of a 26-year-old woman and a 1-year-old baby mauled to death on Dec. 29, authorities reported.
The bodies of the victims were in horrible condition. Authorities said the wild dogs ripped the left arm off the woman and the baby boy bled to death. The wild dogs had started to eat the two, but didn't finish the task.
Following this discovery, was another horrible scene in which the bodies of a young couple were found and they bled to death as well.
Prosecutors released this statement regarding the wild dog attacks;
"Experts have established that due to the gravity of the wounds, at least 10 dogs were involved in each attack."
A victim in the second attack called her sister while the dogs were mauling her and her boyfriend to death. The sister of the victim told authorities that she thought her sister was playing around when she heard her say.
"Several dogs are attacking us, help me!"
The girl's sister said that was the last time she heard from her.
She later told Milenio Television,
"What kind of dog can tear the skin from your whole arm and leave just bone and if it was an attack dog why didn't it attack her neck? What's most shocking is that one of her breasts was mutilated."
After the reported killings, officers went looking for the wild and violent dogs. They were able to detain 25 dogs that were living in a nearby cave by Monday.
Authorities believe the feral dogs were once pets and over time mating increased their numbers. The wild dogs that were captured are being tested for traces of human blood and their stomach contents are also being examined.
Authorities didn't disclose what they plan on doing with the animals, but animal rights activists are insisting that they do not kill them.
